About Us

A foundation built around one goal: keep students in school.

Malo Foundation supports underprivileged students in accessing and completing their high school education — through direct tuition support, steady mentorship, and close work with families and schools.

Our Story

Giving back to the county that shaped us

"We are a team united by a deep connection to Siaya County and a shared belief that education has the power to transform lives. While some of our directors were born and raised in Siaya, others are connected to the county through family heritage and a lifelong commitment to its people. Together, we have witnessed the lasting impact that education can have on individuals, families, and communities."

As beneficiaries of the county's strong culture of valuing education, we understand firsthand the opportunities that learning can create for individuals, families, and communities.

Despite Siaya's long-standing reputation for academic excellence, many bright and determined children are still unable to complete their education because of financial hardship. Poverty continues to prevent countless learners from accessing school fees, learning materials, uniforms, and other essential educational needs.

Our foundation was established as a way of giving back to the community that shaped us. We are committed to ensuring that no child is denied the opportunity to learn simply because they cannot afford it. Through school fees support, educational resources, mentorship, and partnerships with well-wishers, we aim to empower vulnerable learners to remain in school and pursue their dreams with confidence.

We believe that every child deserves the chance to succeed, regardless of their background. By investing in education today, we are investing in stronger families, healthier communities, and a brighter future for Siaya County.

Together with our partners, donors, volunteers, and the wider community, we are building hope — one learner at a time.
